Bandages are essentially characterised by the elastic fabric, which offers protection to injured parts of the body and can protect joints from overuse. They can be used in a variety of ways and are breathable. The spectrum of use ranges from pain in the hand, arm or back to the lower extremities (knee, ankle). The affected part of the body is specifically relieved and protected by the use of bandages. Wearing a bandage leads to improved body awareness due to its elastic properties and massages the affected joint with every movement, which in turn stimulates blood and lymph flow and thus promotes healing. There are supports that are medically necessary (e.g. after injuries) and supports that are used prophylactically (e.g. for protection during sports).
